An Association working for the welfare of the Practicing valuers was a dream. Our dream came true, when few dedicated valuers had come forward to take up the challenge and to coordinate the deprived valuers of most of the districts in the Kerala State. Even though we valuers are all attached to various professional bodies for technical registration and for professional guidance and for technical training and improvements none of them are not focusing on the welfare activities of the practicing valuers. An association for the welfare of the valuer’s fraternity and their dependants who are in need of assistance, to prevent exploitation or oppression to secure fair, remunerating, to ensure just and reasonable condition of work environments and life to promote their well being in all peaceful, lawful, legitimate and constitutional methods in particular (but with put in any way limiting the generally of the foregoing) this association may assist such persons if required by them, to secure Governmental benefits to the members and their families to seek legislative redressal for amendments in the existing laws and enacting of new legislation to provide social security and welfare of our valuer’s fraternity.
Tecva is dedicated to promote scientific methods and with that intention to collect and disseminate amongst members, statistical and technical information affecting the interest of the trade in general and valuation industry, trade and profession in particular and for that purpose to print, publish, issue and circulate papers, periodicals, books, circulars and other literature and hold seminars, meetings, conferences, discussions etc and to organize webinars. To provide first hand training or skilled training to fresh valuers and pre qualify them to get registered with various professional bodies/institutions and get empanelled in various financial institutions.

I was officiating as Chairman of the Institution of Valuers(India) Kochi chapter during the period 2004 to 2018. The pinch of not having a welfare association in our own state is felt many times. The formation and registration of our TECHNICAL VALUERS ASSOCIATION [TECVA] is the need of the hour, “better late than never”. Finally we got our association registered and started working to implement our goals. The strength of any association is its like minded members and their aims are to give a better common platform for the existing registered and empanelled valuers of Kerala state and many more to join in this profession.

Technical Valuers Association (TECVA) is started its function since from the day of its registration during the year 2020. ‘The Technical Valuers Association (TECVA)’ is the only one Association which has been registered in entire Kerala with an aim of promoting the welfare and for improving the quality and stanadards of valuation works of Practicing Valuers . All Valuers registered under Wealth tax Act, Members of Institution of Valuers India (IOV, IOV-RVF) and other Valuers institutions like IIV, PVAI, CVSRTA approved valuers etc are eligible for the Membership.Registered and approved valuers of any other institutions of valuers/Surveyors/Engineers/Architects in India) including welfare of their amilies.Encouraging young Valuers to the field by providing proper on job training and practices, to keep uniformity, discipline and professional ethics of Practicing Valuers fraternity to produce a quality valuation works . The Corporate ofice of the association has been started its function at “ASHISHA MANGALATH, SATELLITE TOWNSHIP ETXN.,2ND CROSS ROAD, KAKKANAD WEST (P.O). KOCHI- 682030” for the effective functioning being in middle Kerala for the convenience of its Members all over kerala . The functioning of Associaion is headed by its President, the Chief executive ,an Eminent Engineer,Senior Valuer Shri M.P Abraham, IRSE (Retd).
I am very glad that the G.B.M held on 18 Dec 2022 unanimously elected me as theGeneral secretary of TECVA for which I will try to discharge my duties to the best my knowledge and belief for the benefits of its members .I take this oppurtunity to request all the members to share their issues and grievances in valuation profession and circulate their suggestions in our official whats app group for taking views and comments of members before finalising the collective suggestions for a resolution and further actions by the state committee.
